Sephora VIB Sale - Makeup
Although skincare is my favorite now, makeup is what my made me fall in love with beauty. I personally wasn't allowed to wear makeup until 7th grade and when that glorious day came, I went all out. Black eyeliner, spider-y clumpy mascara, and a lip so nude it looked like I had just eaten a powdered donut. I might have looked like a lunatic but I felt amazing and that's the point of makeup, isn't it? Since junior high my makeup shopping has graduated from the drugstore to the magical land of Sephora, and my wallet hates me for it. Thankfully because of the VIB sale, it doesn't have to complain too much.
This foundation is one of the best selling foundations ever! It's unique and magic formulation leaves both dry and oily skin glowy and works with both skin types to settle with a soft silky finish. It's higher price tag is worth it, I promise!
I love blush! It's one of my favorite beauty products and I don't quite feel myself unless I'm wearing it. It's also my favorite vintage beauty product to collect because it always has the best packaging. To get the most bang for you buck, blush palettes are the way to go and coupled with the sale it's an even better deal.
I have been dying to try out this cult favorite cream highlighter and I took advantage of this year's sale to drop it in my cart. RMS is a completely clean brand and its Living Luminizer is one of its best sellers. I can't wait to see the subtle glow my cheekbones will be poppin' in 2-3 business days.
This is my new obsession. Not only is the packaging amazing but the subtle pink color it leaves is so flattering for an everyday look. It's definitely a bit bougie for lip balm but sometimes you gotta treat yo self.
If I could only have one mascara for the rest of my life it would this one. Its curved brush creates amazing curl even without a lash curler and the formulas creates volume and hold. I also love how buildable it is, so you can get a more dramatic look without getting spidery and crunchy looking lashes.
I splurged on a Marc Jacobs palette during a past VIB sale and I'm so glad I did. Their eyeshadows are smooth, super bendable, and perfectly pigmented. The packaging is also super luxe and even comes with a little button sleeve to store it in. If you're looking for a new everyday eyeshadow palette this is a great option.
For contouring purposes, creams are my preferred formula. I find they blend really nicely and you can place the product exactly where you want it with more control than a powder. It also creates the most skin-like finish. This trio has all your face bases covered with contour, blush, and highlight.
I wasn't a big primer person until I picked up this one. I love the light reflecting particles that leaves the skin looking radiant even under matte foundation or powder. I often wear this primer completely alone when I want my skin to look glowy even on no-makeup days. Another way you can use this is as a subtle highlight. Rub a pea side amount between the tips of the fingers and press on the high points of the face, down the nose, and under the brow bones.
I love this concealer/highlighting pen so much but the price always deters me from repurchasing, but I used the sale to finally pick another up. Bright undereyes are on their way!
Liquid eyeliner is already hard enough to work with without worrying its going to dry up before you finish drawing it on or smearing off as the day goes by. This liquid liner checks off all the boxes for me and its a best seller for a reason.
Look out for tomorrow's post on my hair picks from the sale!!
